Schenectady & SCC Lead Finance Specialist
About the role
The Schenectady & SCC Lead Finance Specialist of Manufacturing Operations is the key finance partner for the two manufacturing sites in Schenectady, NY. The Schenectady site manufactures Generators products, while the SCC site manufactures Cores and Castings for our Gas Turbines. Both sites have approximately 1 million hours and 100 thousand hours of annual production respectively.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the key finance partner for manufacturing finance activities and rhythms, including planning, pacing, monthly operating reviews (MOR), closing, and audits.
- Serves as deputy plant finance manager to coordinate financial deliverables and reporting across functional stakeholders (Cell Leaders, Facilities, HR, EHS, Quality).
- Understands and effectively communicates financial variance drivers including volume, mix, program savings, PCO, FX, etc.
- Leverages indirect supply chain operating finance COE and predictive analytic tools to enhance finance activities, pacing accuracy, and provide value-add insights to operations.
- Supports capital project management, pacing, and monitoring to ensure project execution on budget and timely project capitalization.
- Able to identify and effectively communicate financial risks and opportunities and their impact on operational KPIs.
- Supports LEAN and standardization initiatives across GSC, delivering high impact financial analytics and controls that drive operational accountability.
- Provides insights and transparency to actual costs, aligning site/VS roadmap to develop pipeline to improve or control total cost per unit and bill rates.
- Supports process and analytics surrounding standard costing, SMI, FIFO, COPQ, and helps understand impacts to site inventory and turns.
- Supports fixed asset & Inventory physical stocktake and partners to implement remediation plan to improve plant level controls.
- Ad hoc duties to support local operating partners to ensure compliance with local and US GAAP finance requirements.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain from an accredited university or college.
- At least five years of experience in FP&A, with at least 2-3 years of experience in accounting policies and practices, including standard costing, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Experience in Supply Chain System ERP, such as SAP Powermax, with deployments experience.

Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $95,300.00 and $158,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus Eligibility
