Operations Finance Sr Specialist

About the role

The Operations Finance Manager supports the objectives of the Finance and Accounting department while assisting operating departments with forecasting, budgeting, labor and inventory controls, analysis, auditing, and operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly operational financial reports and assist in preparation of any client-facing financial reporting, including reconciliation of client invoices and statements, and any supporting documentation.
• Aid in preparation for annual budget.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports to monitor performance areas such as labor, direct costs, revenue, expenses, and profit by area of responsibility.
• Collaborate with managers and directors to identify and drive key levers to improve margins.
• Train and motivate staff in financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Support operations as needed.
• Work with teams on budget, cost control, and forecasting.
• Aid in oversight of Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables.
• Aid in internal annual audits for sight locations.

Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience in the service industry combined with a system-driven approach to credit control.
• Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Hands-on, proactive approach with ability to work well independently.
• Relevant financial experience impacting key P&L and balance sheet lines, serving as a business partner to operations.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with business partners, key employees, senior leadership, and client groups.
• A self-starter to quickly learn through online tools and peers.
• Presentation skills, ability to interact at any level of organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
