Scheduling Specialist -- (Foot and Ankle)

Responsibilities
- Greets patients and answers calls promptly, courteously, and helpfully, routing them appropriately.
- Schedules patient appointments using software, following established procedures and standards.
- Maintains a pleasant and caring attitude when communicating with all internal and external customers.
- Demonstrates good judgment and time management skills to accomplish daily tasks efficiently.
- Communicates information effectively to patients, families, providers, and service representatives.
- Collaborates with physician offices to monitor resource utilization and deliver quality care.
- Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with organizational guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Participates in patient outreach campaigns to schedule follow-up and annual physical/wellness exam appointments.
- Maintains confidentiality of medical records and other confidential information.
- Processes and distributes incoming and outgoing communications.
- Keeps updated on current office software and maintains knowledge of office equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in nursing, Management, or related healthcare field.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ position-related experience.
- Office experience in a medical setting preferred.
Qualifications
- Practical knowledge and experience in working with practice management software systems.
- Proficient with computer programs: Email, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, Call Center Software.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
