Scheduling Specialist
About the role
The Scheduling Specialist works under the direct supervision and in close collaboration with the Call Center Manager (CCM). This position is responsible for answering all incoming calls, providing exceptional customer service, and scheduling patients across all clinics within the health center. The Scheduler will use their knowledge and scheduling tools to meet patients' appointment needs accurately and timely.
When call volume is low, this position will perform outreach scheduling calls to ensure patients follow up on chronic conditions, preventative services, and connect with their assigned Primary Care Provider (PCP) as identified by the clinical teams.
The Specialist will assist patients in preparing for upcoming telehealth appointments by assessing their ability to connect electronically with MEND. This includes educating patients on the connection process and conducting "test visit connections" prior to their scheduled appointment.
This position actively participates in special activities of the Department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience using a practice management system required
- A minimum of one (1) year experience working in a medical setting preferred
