Scheduling Manager - Estimating Proposals - Kiewit Power Constructors

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Estimate Scheduling Group, managing 2–3 schedulers to ensure high quality schedule development and execution while fostering a strong sense of ownership and pride in the team’s work.
  • Support the District Scheduling Manager in preparing and maintaining Level 2 Proposal Schedules for assigned projects.
  • Utilize Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques to guarantee estimates include appropriate scope, calendars, milestones, and any specific requirements outlined in the Request for Proposal (RFP).
  • Collaborate with the Estimating Department, Proposal Project Manager, and Engineering Manager to deliver accurate Level 2 Schedules, ensuring a proper CPM Longest Path analysis, resource loading, and development of Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) histograms.
  • Lead the application of ALICE optimization technology during Baseline (Level 3) Schedule Development to enhance project planning and execution.
  • Continuously maintain and improve Schedule Benchmark Tools, including Milestones Comparables and Schedule Velocity metrics, to support ongoing schedule performance assessment.
  • Serve as a working lead, providing hands‑on support for larger or more complex estimates.
  • Support the review and analysis of the EPC Level 3 Baseline to confirm consistency with the estimate‑developed plan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in power generation or infrastructure construction.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6).
  • Experience with proposal development and RFP analysis a plus.
