Responsibilities
- 70% Scheduling Functions:
- Screens and directs telephone calls, scheduling patient services across all Centers.
- Provides detailed information on services and resources in multiple departments.
- Interviews and obtains necessary information to process patient registration.
- Updates patient pre-registration, coordinates cancellations and rescheduling.
- Takes calls from various health center areas regarding patient schedules or status.
- Monitors progress of daily schedules.
- 20% Customer Service:
- Screens and directs calls within three rings, adhering to quality customer service standards.
- Informs management of patient complaints or service concerns.
- Maintains confidentiality in all communications.
- 5% Coordination and Communication:
- Identifies and coordinates needs, communicating effectively with other departments, physicians, managers, and staff.
- 5% Problem-Solving and Improvement:
- Identifies and implements problem solutions.
- Participates in department process improvement efforts, meetings, work-related classes, and coworker orientation.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as needed.
As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (Required).
- Knowledge of medical procedures.
- Basic computer and typing skills.
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting or 2 years of scheduling experience.
- 2 years of secretarial or unit clerk experience.
Schedule
- Day shift.
- 40 scheduled weekly hours.
