As a Scheduling Coordinator with Interim HealthCare®, you’ll do more than create schedules—you’ll ensure every client receives dependable, timely care when they need it most. In this fast-paced and essential role, you serve as the connection between our caregivers, clients, and office team to keep care running smoothly every day. Responsibilities
- Create and maintain caregiver schedules to ensure consistent client coverage
- Quickly fill open shifts due to call-offs, schedule changes, or new client cases
- Coordinate caregiver assignments based on availability, skills, and client needs
- Communicate scheduling updates clearly and professionally with caregivers and clients
- Monitor attendance, call-offs, and caregiver reliability trends
- Maintain accurate records within scheduling and EVV systems
- Collaborate with recruiting and clinical teams to anticipate staffing needs
- Provide on-call scheduling support as assigned
- Ensure continuity of care by proactively addressing scheduling challenges
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
- At least one (1) year of scheduling, staffing coordination, or home care experience preferred
- Strong customer service and phone communication skills
- Ability to multitask and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office
- Professional, calm demeanor under pressure
