Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepares master nursing time schedule for 24-hour coverage to comply with state requirements.
- This schedule must be approved by the Director of Nursing Services prior to posting.
- The schedule is updated on a monthly basis.
- Replaces call-ins.
- Prepares daily hourly report based on census.
- Reviews associates requiring counseling for absenteeism or tardiness with the Director of Nursing Services.
- Presents employment applications, prescreens candidates, conducts reference checks, sets up appointments, and notifies about hiring, scheduling, and orientation with the In-service Director.
- Maintains orientation paperwork for new associates.
- May be responsible for setting up personnel file folders.
- Prepares nursing physical and evaluation due lists and notifies the Director of Nursing Services of overdue evaluations.
- Runs errands to doctor's office and post office.
- Keeps a tickler file of associates who have left the building.
- Maintains recertification signatures in a timely manner.
- May assist with starting MRQ forms monthly.
- Logs in-service updates on individual associate files as directed by the Director of Nursing or In-service Director.
- Maintains good communication with all nursing departments and other center departments.
- Attends nursing meetings and takes written minutes as directed by the Director of Nursing.
- May assist with direct patient care duties, such as bedding, passing nourishment, serving trays, and feeding as directed.
- Promotes the organization's image and reputation by practicing servant leadership and maintaining open lines of communication.
- Contributes to committee work, workgroups, and other collaborative efforts within the organization.
- Performs other duties as necessary to support the organization's success.

- Proficient in using computers, particularly Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Communicates warmly and professionally with associates, patients, family members, and visitors.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- No supervisory responsibilities are required.
Reasoning Abilities
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to solve problems in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- Sitting, talking, hearing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, standing, and focusing on close, distance, and adjusting focus.
