Create and manage staff schedules
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for resident care needs and compliance with staffing requirements.
- Cookordination call-offs, shift changes, and open shifts while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
- Communicate daily staffing needs with nursing leaders, employees, and others as needed.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records.
- Support staffing efforts by helping reduce overtime, tracking attendance trends, and ensuring timely schedule updates.
Qualifications
- Long-term care scheduling experience highly preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of staffing ratios and calculation of HPPD for census-driven staffing.
- Interpersonal and communication skills that identify the ability to positively and effectively communicate with others while completing work accurately and timely.
- Leading with a positive attitude through continually adapting to a fluid environment, which includes working with internal and external stakeholders.
