Responsibilities
- Recruits and assists in the hiring process as needed.
- Assists with orientation and training of all new hires.
- Participates in coaching and disciplining employees when necessary.
- Maintains a complete and accurate visit schedule, tracking staff availability, cancellations, late arrivals, and early departures from assigned shifts.
- Finds replacements for staff who call in sick or are unable to work.
- Verifies all weekend shifts on Friday to ensure coverage needs are addressed.
- Assigns appropriate staff to individual clients as needed.
- When on-call, makes every effort to find staff for urgent needs and keeps a log of events, including employee availability, issues, and client concerns.
- Uses a communication log to track needs, availability, or cancellations.
- Represents the agency positively and professionally in all interactions.
- Approaches each telephone call and interview as a sales opportunity.
- Resolves client concerns in a positive and professional manner.
- Maintains good communication with all personnel, supervisory staff, and departments.
- Assists with continuing education of staff as needed.
- Assists the Billing Department with verification and timely submission of billing information.
- Ensures adherence to all organizational policies, procedures, and processes.
- Seeks guidance when uncertain about policies, procedures, or processes.
- Maintains compliance with all Federal and State licensure requirements and assists with preparation for surveys.
- Reports any comments or suggestions from surveyors to the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications
- High school education or GED required.
- Medical office background with experience in computer operations and medical terminology preferred.
- Adequate knowledge of office machines and procedures.
- Well-organized with strong typing, filing, and telephone skills.
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with all people.
- Capable of performing essential job functions.
- General knowledge of the framework, organization, and function of home health programs.
