About the role

ONEOK is seeking an experienced Natural Gas Pipeline Scheduler to join our team in Houston. This role involves handling nominations, confirmations, and scheduling of natural gas volumes for intrastate and interstate pipeline transmission. You will manage volumetric imbalances with end-users, shippers, and pipelines daily in accordance with contractual and system compliance. Strong relationship-building and customer service skills are desired. Quorum and QPTM experience are a plus. This is a hybrid role: in-office Monday through Thursday and remote on Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, schedule, review, and monitor daily nominations to maintain pipeline integrity by minimizing Operational Balance Agreement (OBA) and shipper or customer imbalances.
  • Coordinate with traders regarding overall daily scheduling and balancing positions on interstate and intrastate pipelines; report any problems to traders regarding flow of product(s).
  • Interact with gas control representatives, customers, operators, producers, pipeline companies, and others concerning nominations, allocations, billing, imbalances, daily flow, and operational orders.
  • Calculate, prepare, and analyze information or reports including, but not limited to:
    • Allocations
    • Balancing deliveries
    • Nominations and confirmations
    • Pricing
    • Flow rates/capacity issues
    • Measurement discrepancies
    • Storage balances
    • Electronic bulletin board communications
    • Actual Usage – Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business administration, or accounting with job-related experience, or equivalent formal education (e.g., courses in accounting, business law, business communications, algebra, basic statistics, or speech) combined with relevant work experience.
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of nomination and scheduling of energy product(s) volumes on a pipeline system.
  • Experience analyzing and resolving issues related to scheduling, nominations, balancing, and allocations.
  • Experience with office equipment, mainframe applications, microcomputers, and applicable software.
  • Experience or training in:
    • Product purchase
    • Product control
    • Product accounting
    • Transportation services
    • Volume control
    • Customer service
    • Pipeline Tariffs
    • Product Distribution
  • Experience reading and interpreting contracts, agreements, reports, statements, invoices, confirmations, correspondence, tariffs, government regulations, industry standards, electronic bulletin board communications, and company policies and procedures.
  • Experience composing and preparing balancing reports, volume summaries, confirmations, reports, pipeline postings, storage reports, and electronic bulletin board communications.
  • Experience analyzing information, conducting meetings, and making presentations.
  • Willingness to adapt to a flexible schedule incorporating evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Skills

  • Ability to apply basic math, algebra, and statistics.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange written and verbal information or instructions.

Working Conditions

  • Subject to inside environmental conditions in well-lighted, climate-controlled areas (Constantly).

  • Travel to other locations and driving may be required, potentially involving a company vehicle and applicable driver’s license.

Pay

Expected salary range: $108,000.00 - $162,000.00.
