Responsibilities
- Aid in patient scheduling for office visits and procedures.
- Take triage call messages for medical staff.
- View patient visit notes, identify problems and diagnoses, and review physician orders.
- Assist with patient registration and financial transactions.
- Schedule radiology and lab services.
- Manage patient recalls.
- Check-in and check-out patients.
- Collect patient and insurance payments and reconcile charges.
- File and organize patient records in the EMR system.
- Prepare patient charts and scan documents into the EMR.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience working in a medical office.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented.
- Basic understanding of healthcare plans.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
Requirements
- Intermediate experience (4+ years’ experience) and/or acting more independently.
- Takes on additional duties to assist the office.
- Strong and consistent performer.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient technical (computer) skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Self-motivated with initiative.
- Strong sense of ethics.
