Responsibilities

  • Aid in patient scheduling for office visits and procedures.
  • Take triage call messages for medical staff.
  • View patient visit notes, identify problems and diagnoses, and review physician orders.
  • Assist with patient registration and financial transactions.
  • Schedule radiology and lab services.
  • Manage patient recalls.
  • Check-in and check-out patients.
  • Collect patient and insurance payments and reconcile charges.
  • File and organize patient records in the EMR system.
  • Prepare patient charts and scan documents into the EMR.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience working in a medical office.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare plans.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Requirements

  • Intermediate experience (4+ years’ experience) and/or acting more independently.
  • Takes on additional duties to assist the office.
  • Strong and consistent performer.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient technical (computer) skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Self-motivated with initiative.
  • Strong sense of ethics.
