Scheduler I/II

The Scheduler II is responsible for ensuring that all scheduling processes take place in an accurate and timely manner with regard to pipeline and department cutoffs. This role will analyze data, monitor and reconcile imbalances, set up make-up/pay-back schedules with appropriate shippers, and initiate settlements. Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and the ability to cultivate positive relationships are keys to success! Responsibilities/Expectations: Nominates storage activity for the storage company electronic bulletin board (EBB) and internal gas management systems for optimization activities; nominates natural gas communications with tradersCommunicates with customer on daily requirements and cultivates relationships with scheduling counterparts of customers and pipeline representatives to ensure operational integrity; schedules daily volumes for producer and buyer contractsAccesses and accurately populates a pipeline EBBRecommends market area supply alternatives and storage strategies; tracks storage injections, withdrawals, and balancesConfirms daily and monthly nominations with storage company pipeline interconnectsConfirms physical volume activity is accurate; re-confirms bi-weekly and month end volumes via interconnecting pipeline EBB’sCollaborates with gas accountants to establish and implement invoice procedures; updates database to prepare invoices and statements; assists in resolution of billing discrepancies and responds to questions regarding term transactionsCommunicates rate, tariff, fuel rate, and operational conditions to front office; contacts gas producers and buyers to verify their requirementsOther duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Required: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Engineering; minimum two (2) years' experience in commercial business operationsPreferred: MBA; minimum two (2) years' experience with a gas marketing company Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements: Available 24/7/365; Must be willing to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises Other Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skillsUnderstanding of accounting principles and procedures for gas accountingPreferred: Experience with Endur/Endur pathing, Daily Live, and G2 systemsPreferred: Knowledge of US gas pipeline systems and market areas , Ensures that all scheduling processes (nominations, confirmations, etc.) take place in a correct and timely manner with regard to pipeline and department deadlines. Initiates and maintains daily spreadsheets. Analyzes data, monitors and reconciles imbalances, sets up make-up/pay-back schedules with appropriate shippers, and initiates settlements.
