Scheduler - Full Time, Outpatient

About the role

UVA Imaging is seeking a Scheduler I to join our patient-focused team in Charlottesville, Virginia. This position supports patients throughout the scheduling and registration process while working closely with our Imaging Center and Business Office teams.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling patient appointments and coordinating imaging services
• Providing friendly and professional assistance to patients by phone
• Registering patients and maintaining accurate patient information
• Managing medical records and other patient documentation
• Communicating with patients, physician offices, and internal team members
• Supporting daily Business Office and Imaging Center operations
• Providing excellent customer service throughout every patient interaction

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to work independently and multitask
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of computer applications and Microsoft Office

Qualifications

No prior experience in healthcare or scheduling is required, as training will be provided.
