Scheduler

About the Role

USPI Foundation Surgical Hospital of San Antonio is seeking a motivated Scheduler to join our team. We are a 25-bed facility with 8 OR rooms and 3 ER rooms, specializing in outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic and Spine.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with physician offices and patients to ensure accurate, prompt, and courteous scheduling of appointments.
• Strive to minimize patient wait times in the department.
• Educate patients and families about procedures being performed.
• Demonstrate the primary goal of efficiently providing services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• CPR Certification.
• Proficient typing/keyboarding skills.
• One year of experience in a hospital or customer service setting.
• Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians.
• Ability to promote a favorable facility image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and the general public.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems.

Preferred: Imaging experience and knowledge.
