About the role
This position manages the overall staffing needs of the Nursing Department in accordance with company policies and governmental regulations to maintain excellent care of all resident needs. Responsibilities include scheduling paid time off (PTO), handling call-ins, and adjusting staffing levels based on census fluctuations. The role requires strong phone etiquette, customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The scheduling position may include on-call responsibilities as determined by the Director of Nurses and Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Manage staffing needs for the Nursing Department in compliance with company policies and governmental regulations.
- Schedule paid time off (PTO), handle call-ins, and reduce staffing during low census periods.
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Multitask effectively to adapt to daily changes in resident census.
- Serve on-call as needed, as determined by the Director of Nurses and Administrator.
- Assist with Central Supply duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent related work experience.
- Current/active CPR certification preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
