About the role
Answers phones and emails, schedules and confirms appointments, and inputs customer data into company systems. Organizes workflow and appointments by reading and routing correspondence, collecting customer information, and managing assignments.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls for patient inquiries and schedule appointments adhering to set guidelines of questions (implants, age, previous films, method of payment) and complete insurance information needed for verification.
- Process work orders received.
- Work and maintain special projects including BIRADS 0 and BIRADS 3 lists, online appointments, and replies to automated confirmations and reschedule/cancel online requests, and Dr. Melillo’s schedule.
- Return messages from appointment voicemail, answering service, and Contact Us website appointment inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned and cross-train as needed.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent with 3–5 years scheduling experience in a medical office required.
- Knowledge of insurance, multi-test scheduling, and front desk duties required.
- Multitask oriented.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
