About the role
Connecticut GI, a division of GI Alliance, is seeking a full-time experienced Procedure Scheduler to join our Rocky Hill Care Center. We are the largest gastroenterology practice in Connecticut with over 30 Care Centers and growing.
Responsibilities
- Provide remarkable patient experience: Schedule procedure and office visit appointments following CTGI policy and scripting.
- Attention to detail: Update insurance and demographic information when scheduling appointments and procedures, obtain cardiac clearance for patients scheduled for procedures where warranted, and follow up on procedure to ensure ASC has documentation.
- Team player: Assist with any general office function at the request of the site supervisors or managers and lend support to other CTGI staff members as required, to ensure proper patient care and smooth functioning of the office.
- Versatility: Properly answer incoming phone lines, take clear, concise messages, compose, process, and follow-up on electronic phone messages and alerts, and route messages to correct provider or employee.
- Maintain expertise: Maintain familiarity with providers preferred prep.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least 2 years of related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- 3+ years of professional experience.
- Experience with an EMR system is ideal, Epic experience is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent (Required).
- Microsoft Office: 3 years (Required).
- Customer Service: 3 years (Required).
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred).
- Work Location: In person.
Education
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Experience: 2-5 years of prior medical scheduling is preferred.

Qualifications for Level I Status
- Entry level (1-4 years experience) and/or meet the basic requirements of the job with the need for additional supervision.
- Excess of 4 years experience if meeting only the basic requirements of the job with need for additional supervision.
Pay and Schedule
- Salary Range: From $18.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm Day shift.
