Scenic Painter - Overhire
Responsibilities
- Assist in paint application for scenic elements, photography backgrounds, and surfaces
- Follow approved paint procedures to execute paint finishes, wood staining, plaster finishes, faux stone, and tile work
- Prepare scenery for paint treatments
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment across the photo studios, set shop, paint shop, and storage areas
- Uphold established wood shop and paint shop safety requirements, shop maintenance procedures, and production processes
- Collaborate with Set Building team members, photo studios, and operations teams to investigate challenges and troubleshoot solutions
- Other duties as assigned, which at times may include basic set construction, set installation, and warehousing of set elements
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in set building, scenic painting, or related field preferred.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
Basic knowledge of painting techniques, including hand painting, spray painting, and faux finishing.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and reaching.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
Passion for creating beautiful and functional sets for photography and retail purposes.

Pay
The expected starting pay range for this position is $29.20-$33.58/hr.
Schedule
This is an hourly position and must be able to work overtime, evenings, and occasionally on weekends.
