Scanning Tecnician with Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Support the digitization effort to convert paper documents to image.
• Perform quality control of images and index various fields pulled from the scanned documents.
• Ensure quality assurance in scanning, indexing, and editing by being cross-trained to perform the entire life cycle of digitization.
• Review and prepare files and documents based on conversion requirements, including arranging records in date order, removing duplicates, removing staples, and clipping multipage documents.
• Determine appropriate scanning devices based on document type and quality.
• Scan documents using various scanning methods, including microform and oversized scanning.
• Monitor and schedule scanning activities, coordinate transportation, and maintain inventory of workstations and equipment.
• Provide customer service by handling walk-in customers, taking care of scanning equipment, and performing daily preventative maintenance.
• Review scanned document images electronically to verify accuracy and completeness, and rescan documents if necessary.
• Deliver scanned pages in electronic format and meet scanning targets and deadlines.
• Lift cartons weighing up to 35 pounds as required.

Requirements

• Previous scanning experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and indexing.
• Ability to use various scanning and viewing equipment and tools to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities.
• Extensive knowledge in the use of MS Office, the Internet, and other internal applications.
• Excellent working knowledge of computer software, including search capabilities.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
