Scaler

Scale House Operator position focused on the safe and efficient processing of logs into the mill.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently process log and residual trucks through scales and ticketing system
• Perform basic computer functions, including email, Word, Excel, and data entry into database
• Apply basic mathematical skills, including arithmetic functions and common units of measurement
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environments
• Ability to bend, twist, lift, climb, and stand throughout the duration of the shift
• Perform all tasks in accordance with West Fraser safety policies and procedures
• Recognize and support team culture, communicating effectively with all team members

Qualifications

• Willingness to work Thursdays, Fridays, and some Saturdays
• Willingness to perform all job assignments effectively and timely with minimal supervision
• Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends
• Minimum of six (6) months in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
