Scale Operator - Seasonal

About the role

This seasonal position is within our Ag & Trading enterprise, where you’ll operate grain elevator scales, provide customer service, and perform administrative and safety-related tasks in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate the grain elevator scale, including weighing and grading inbound and outbound grain to issue scale tickets
• Provide high-level customer service by being courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable while engaging with team members
• Perform administrative work, including running daily reports, balancing statements, and coordinating cross-checks of scale equipment
• Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions (heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.) with personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice

Qualifications

• Basic experience troubleshooting mechanical components and systems
• Experience working in a production-related environment

Pay

$18.50 per hour, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
