Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities
- Track daily receipts
- Inform operators of OCC and SS loads so they can inspect quality of loads
- Maintain records detailing the quality of incoming and outgoing loads
- Document all deductions with pictures on Google Drive
- Weigh trucks in and out
- Participation in safety committee and/or meetings
- Cross train with other Admin/Scale Clerks
- Write & reconcile peddler checks
- Maintain vendor scale checks and reconciliation
- Maintaining shipping/receiving logs completely
- Add freight cost in comments section of receiving/shipping logs
- Weigh loads in/out for loads shipping
- Key all loads on the day of transfer
- Notify shipping when driver arrives to pick up outbound loads
- Daily tasks (but not limited to): Reconcile all Shipping and Receiving logs, and document
- Weekly tasks (but not limited to): Review, resolve and approve reports with outstanding line items
Hiring Requirements/Preferences
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Pursuing Accounting degree or Bachelors with work experience in the accounting field
- Detail oriented
- Time sensitive attention to monthly reporting
- Experience necessary in SAP, Excel and basic accounting principles
- Experience with scale operations
- Understand financial forecasting
- Professional Attitude & conduct
- Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed
- High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times
- Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required
- Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
