Scaffold Superintendent

Job Summary

In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders’ involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff.

Major Responsibilities

• Makes sure subcontractor activities are monitored and organized within the area of responsibility.
• Supports projects of moderate complexity and few stakeholders involved.
• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Develops planning construction methods and procedures.
• Develops projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
• Maintains safety and quality standards.
• Ensures work methods are planned and executed safely.
• Coordinates with subcontractors, foremen, and craft professionals on engineering solutions.
• Coordinates with design teams on constructability issues.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
• Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of local labor laws and issues.
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and local contracting requirements.
  • Experience working with, supervising, and administering subcontractors.
  • Specific experience in Heavy Civil Construction, Scaffolding, Concrete, Structural Steel Erection, and Rigging.
  • Experience working with UPF indirects team.
