Scaffold Carpenter
Job Description
Perform a variety of skilled carpentry work in the construction, installation, erection, maintenance, fabrication and repair of wooden structure and fixtures, such as architectural woodwork, millwork, trim, concrete forms, metal and wood framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, etc.
Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements
Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements
Complete assigned carpentry tasks with quality workmanship
Operate a variety of power/manual tools and equipment used in skilled carpentry
Perform heavy physical labor
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
Able to perform all job duties and associated work functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Able to follow instructions from supervisors and foremen
Knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures
On-the-job training offered
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to perform basic math
- Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks
- Able to lift 40 pounds at a time
