Turner Industries is seeking a Scaffold Builder for a position in Decatur, AL. This position assembles, positions, modifies, and dismantles scaffolding to job specifications. It is a non‑exempt role reporting to a Frontline Supervisor (Leadman or foreman); assigned duties follow specific procedures and work is checked frequently.

Responsibilities

• Inspects surface for holes, objects, and levelness.
• Assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid‑rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and/or wheels.
• Positions scaffold by rolling it into place or erecting in place.
• Secures scaffold to permanent structure if required.
• Performs other assembly types such as hard barricades, strong backs, engineered scaffold, stairways, etc.
• Performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to four years of experience in the specified skill (depending on mechanic level).
• Must pass post‑offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and sign acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
• Must comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Skills

• Ability to read engineered drawings (preferred).
• Ability to operate different types of forklift.
• National certification (preferred; may be required by client
