  • Coordinate with Performance Engineering and Asset Management to incorporate remote data, reporting, and operational requirements into EMS/SCADA systems
  • Recommend alternative technical solutions to support project and business needs
  • Support root-cause analysis for plant performance issues
  • Contribute to the development of systems and processes to ensure optimum SCADA and integration for control and monitoring systems through each project phase
  • Maintain operational knowledge of grid code and associated safety-by-design standards, regulations, laws, and procedures

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in SCADA, instrumentation, and control systems engineering; experience with Battery Energy Storage energy management systems (EMS) and grid-level SCADA configuration preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in instrumentation, electrical engineering, or related field (ABET-accredited) is required; PE or equivalent certification preferred
  • Familiarity with battery energy storage systems, substation design, and transmission-level protection and coordination
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and instrumentation and control standards from IEEE, ISA, ANSI, and IEC organizations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including effective performance under pressure and clear executive-level reporting
