SCADA Commissioning Technician
About the Role
A day in the life involves partnering on design reviews and providing oversight to the project’s SCADA engineer, vendors, and third-party engineer of record to ensure alignment between design and construction. You will develop designs and bills of materials for estimators, align with the procurement team to supply necessary design information, quantities, and parameters for bidding or procuring equipment, and coordinate directly with the construction division and internal or external engineer of record to meet project requirements for safety, reliability, and quality.
You will also coordinate with the site team on critical SCADA infrastructure milestones and align these with third-party vendors to ensure the system is commissioned and operational per the project schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform overall coordination and integration of site-level activities related to SCADA design and commissioning.
- Manage and coordinate third-party engineers and their commissioning personnel.
- Serve as the main point of contact for onsite commissioning, scheduling, and coordination for a project’s SCADA system.
- Build strong working relationships and coordinate with third-party SCADA integrators, engineers of record, design firms, equipment vendors, and on-site technicians.
- Ensure designs support safe, reliable, and quality work practices.
- Assure projects are designed and constructed in compliance with all applicable safety standards, including NESC, NEC, NERC, FERC, and NFPA.
Requirements
- Associate degree in computer science or electrical technician school preferred, or equivalent experience and high school diploma required.
- Minimum of 4 years of solar commissioning experience, with at least two years of SCADA commissioning and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
Qualifications
- Plant Monitoring Experience.
- Field Commissioning Experience.
- Remote Operating Center (ROC) or plant-operating experience.

Pay
$83,109.00 - $120,508.00. Individual compensation will be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
