SCADA Analyst

About the role

Performs SCADA (Supervisory Controls and Data Acquisition) and RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) check out of electric field equipment data in a GE Energy Management System (EMS) tool.

Responsibilities

• Tests, validates, and troubleshoots the communication between electrical field equipment and the utility's control center system.
• Maintains and updates SCADA/EMS system configurations.
• Monitors and reports on system performance and alarms.
• Collaborates with control room operators to resolve issues and improve system efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience with control systems and/or relay schemes.
• Previous experience with SCADA (Supervisory Controls and Data Acquisition) and RTU (Remote Terminal Unit).
• Experience in field equipment testing and commissioning process.
• Understanding of Transmission or Distribution equipment.
• Previous operator experience in the utility industry.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in the utility industry.

Skills

• Proficiency in SCADA and RTU systems.
• Knowledge of power grid management and control systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
