Responsibilities
- Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and other client documentation to accurately prepare estimates.
- Collaborate with project leads and leadership to develop estimates as part of larger scope packages.
- Prepare detail‑oriented and accurate estimates on new projects and price change orders on existing contracts, meeting assigned deadlines.
- Estimate all necessary shop labor, field installation, materials, buyout items, and equipment costs, including specialty equipment such as lifts or generators.
- Read and interpret job bid instructions and detailed specifications; perform material “take‑offs” and calculate associated labor and equipment costs.
- Work directly with Sales and Pre‑construction Teams to understand project size, scope, timelines, and applicable deadlines.
- Discuss alternative recommendations and value‑engineering options when management requires cost‑effective solutions.
- Summarize pricing estimates for new projects and change orders and present results to appropriate leaders to ensure complete job coverage.
Qualifications
- Experience working with the SCA (SCA Communication Skills).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present and explain estimates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in construction estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective working relationships.
Pay
Compensation range: $45–$58 per hour.
