Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting engineering activities such as design, test, and modifications.
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
  • Collections, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
  • Prepares engineering documentation, reports, and kitting of systems.
  • Duties will include disassembly/reassembly, inspection, sustainment, and system testing.
  • Using hand tools and power tools to assemble according to engineering drawings.
  • Wiring system to schematics and engineering drawings and testing of electrical circuits.
  • Using test equipment to test and analyze power, Ethernet, and RF cables.
  • Documenting completed work in work cards, processes, and reporting to program lead.
  • Performing tasking such as integration of system components, modifications to systems, and testing system functionality.
  • Analyzing and implementing procedures and processes for the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the programs/projects.
  • Provide kitting, receiving and shipment support as needed.
  • Support logistics efforts such as parts pulls, return to inventory, and inventory audits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of relevant experience; or an associate degree with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; not needed to start.
  • SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Must be attentive to details to ensure products meet Government requirements.
  • Understanding engineering principles, technical drawings, and documentation practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in standard assembly techniques and proper selection and use of a variety of tools.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, schematics, and standard operating procedures.
