Job Responsibilities
- Supporting engineering activities such as design, test, and modifications.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
- Collections, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
- Prepares engineering documentation, reports, and kitting of systems.
- Duties will include disassembly/reassembly, inspection, sustainment, and system testing.
- Using hand tools and power tools to assemble according to engineering drawings.
- Wiring system to schematics and engineering drawings and testing of electrical circuits.
- Using test equipment to test and analyze power, Ethernet, and RF cables.
- Documenting completed work in work cards, processes, and reporting to program lead.
- Performing tasking such as integration of system components, modifications to systems, and testing system functionality.
- Analyzing and implementing procedures and processes for the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the programs/projects.
- Provide kitting, receiving and shipment support as needed.
- Support logistics efforts such as parts pulls, return to inventory, and inventory audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of relevant experience; or an associate degree with at least one year of relevant experience.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; not needed to start.
- SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Must be attentive to details to ensure products meet Government requirements.
- Understanding engineering principles, technical drawings, and documentation practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in standard assembly techniques and proper selection and use of a variety of tools.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, schematics, and standard operating procedures.
