About the role
SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician I to support the US Navy in Bedford, IN.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot various types of cable assemblies for military applications.
- Develop hands-on experience and grow within the engineering and manufacturing team.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and zero years of experience.
- No clearance required to start but must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Capability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Standing, sitting, and twisting for periods at a time.
Preferred Experience
- One or more years of experience in cable assembly, electronic assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with cable types, connectors, and assembly techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment used in cable assembly.
