SCA Elec Maintenance Tech 3

About the role

The Electronics Technician Maintenance III applies advanced technical knowledge and practices to solve complex problems that cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Skills required include reading schematics and engineering drawing, soldering, root cause failure analysis, troubleshooting electronic failures, performing systems testing and alignments, evaluating and incorporating engineering changes.

Responsibilities

• Interface with engineering, quality, program management and customers.
• Perform circuit analysis to a failed component.
• Read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
• Solder repair experience.
• Obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Train and provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians.

Requirements

• An Electronics Associate Degree or Military Training Equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of related experience; 7 years of related experience will be considered in lieu of Degree or Military Training.
• Strong knowledge of systems troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform circuit analysis to a failed component.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawing.
• Solder repair experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• A current U.S. Government Security Clearance (or higher).
• Experience in the sustainment of military systems and equipment.
• Experience with military equipment logistics, technical manuals, and quality standards.
• RF (Radio Frequency) experience.

Skills

• Systems troubleshooting.
• Circuit analysis.
• Reading schematics and engineering drawing.
• Solder repair.

Pay

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Schedule

As a senior technician, training and technical guidance to lower-level technicians will be performed.
