About the role

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electronic Maintenance Tech 1 to join their team in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow.
• Using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.
• Interface with engineering, quality, program management and customers.
• Train and technical guide lower-level technicians.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of systems troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform circuit analysis to a failed component.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
• Solder repair experience.

Qualifications

• An Electronics Associate Degree or Military Training Equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; OR 5 years of related experience will be considered in lieu of Degree or Military Training.
• Basic knowledge of systems troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform circuit analysis to a failed component.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
• Solder repair experience.

Pay

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
