SBC Teller

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Processes deposits to customer accounts, verifying cash, endorsements, and providing receipts
• Cash checks for customers and non-customers
• Processes and records the sale of monetary instruments
• Fills out and files all required reports related to large cash transactions and monetary instrument sales
• Engages in the sales process by identifying potential financial needs and making appropriate referrals to platform staff

Basic Administrative Functions

• Prepares and processes cash orders as directed

Job Requirements

• Flexible scheduling based on bank hours, including Saturdays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic knowledge of keyboard and computer skills
• Basic arithmetic skills with the use of a calculator
• Basic business acumen and professionalism
• Ability to build strong relationships and alliances across the organization
• Able to adapt to change, be highly motivated, and reliable
• Reliable transportation
• Fluent in written and verbal English

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Up to one year of teller or cash handling experience with accurate balancing record
• Customer service experience and/or sales experience preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• Normal business office environment
• May require occasional lifting and standing
