SBA Business Development Officer Sr.

For our client, we are seeking a SBA Business Development Officer Sr. to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will drive self-sourced SBA loan origination efforts, with a strong emphasis on client engagement, financial analysis, and sound credit judgment. The position partners closely with underwriting and other internal stakeholders to structure proposals, build high-quality credit packages, and support compliant lending decisions. It is well suited for a seasoned SBA lending professional who can balance business development, relationship management, and regulatory discipline in a remote-capable environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually Responsibilities Self-source SBA loan origination with a focus on client contact and analysis Review financial statements and supporting documents Structure SBA loan proposals and prepare credit packages Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent SBA lending experience Minimum of 5 years in SBA, business, or commercial lending Preferred degree in Business or Finance Experience in SBA loan origination Familiarity with commercial loan underwriting systems Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Benefits Flexible work arrangements combining in-office and remote work Opportunity for team collaboration in office settings Supportive work environment fostering community connections Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
