Job Description
The Business Development Associate supports a team of Business Development Officers in identifying, marketing, and selling loan products to the small business and regional commercial marketplace. Key responsibilities include:
- Affirming service requirements and new business opportunities for prospects, clients, internal referral sources, and external referral sources.
- Developing close working relationships with internal bank partners and external COI's in conjunction with BDO activities.
- Completing narratives, workbooks, and other documentation necessary to submit a loan application to credit.
- Managing all aspects of closing approved lending requests and executing specific requirements as appropriate.
- Analyzing, originating, and monitoring a variety of routine, less complex loans.
- Making or assisting in sales calls, marketing efforts, gathering related financial and general business information as directed, and performing financial analyses needed to make credit decisions.
- Passing all training modules.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 0-3 years of sales experience
- Good interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Collaborative skills
- Working skills using word, excel, and PowerPoint
- PREFERRED: Degree or experience in banking or finance

About the Role
The Business Development Associate is responsible for supporting a team of Business Development Officers in identifying, marketing, and selling loan products to the small business and regional commercial marketplace. The Business Development Associate provides sales, deal analysis, and process support to Business Development Officers in a defined region.
