About the role
As a Saw Shop Operator, you’ll set up and operate power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation, ensuring our builders have the materials they need. This is a vital piece of our pallet manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Operate power saws to cut and trim wood pallets
- Follow and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Communicate effectively with plant management on a regular basis
- Lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Work overtime as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to repetitively lift 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and color vision
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
- Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, and air particulate
- Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing experience highly preferred

Pay
Starting at $16.50 per hour.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
