Responsibilities

• Operate an adjustable circular saw to perform rip sawing, cross cutting, beveling, grooving, and mitering.
• Select and install sawing disks according to work order specifications.
• Adjust machine table angle or height using handwheels or cranks to achieve specified cuts.
• Position and secure guides on the machine table according to cut specifications.
• Start the machine, align wood stock against guides, and feed stock into the saw.
• Measure cut stock with tools such as rulers, calipers, or squares to verify dimensions.
• Remove cut stock from the machine and maintain a production count.
• Adjust machine guides, blades, and tables to make additional cuts as required by the work order.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches.
• Exposure to safety management practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required, but 1+ years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding deadlines.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Manufacturing environment with regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Requires prolonged walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Vision abilities necessary to validate and enter data on a computer.
