About the Role
This fully on-site role is located in Texas City, TX. The Bar Saw Operator will focus on machine operation and product quality while assisting with overall warehouse operations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, organized working environment.
- Operate machinery in a safe manner to ensure quality product.
- Inspect material before and after operation for imperfections.
- Load and unload product from the machinery for processing.
- Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy.
- Report product discrepancies to management.
- Actively communicate with teammates.
- Operate forklifts to relocate material.
- Perform other operations tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of manufacturing industries preferred.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail (critical skill).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to communicate professionally with all departments, coworkers, and management.
- Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary.
- Ability to work occasional Saturday hours as required by the position.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read dimensioned engineering drawings.
- Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
- Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
- Standing, walking up to 10 hours.
- Twisting, bending up to 10 hours.
- Perform duties under pressure of deadlines.
- Must be able to wear task-appropriate PPE.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
Pay
Starting pay: $19/hr.
Schedule
1st Shift (6am-3pm).
