Savory Prep, Part-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Work efficiently with teammates in a professional manner to ensure smooth operations in the kitchen
• Maintain an organized approach while working quickly and effectively in a busy kitchen
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, equipment, and customer seating areas, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene
• Lift and restock supplies, and assist with unloading weekly deliveries to ensure the kitchen is always well-stocked
• Read and interpret order slips, preparing savory dishes as directed with attention to detail
• Safely demonstrate and use kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, fryers, and other necessary tools for food preparation
• Perform light dishwashing duties and clean up your work area after preparing food
• Wrap, label, and date food items, adhering to FIFO (First In, First Out) food rotation practices to ensure freshness
• Be a helpful and positive coworker, supporting team members and contributing to an overall positive work environment

Requirements

• Previous kitchen experience or food prep experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Able to work efficiently and remain organized in a fast-paced kitchen
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and team-oriented mindset
• Willingness to perform various kitchen tasks and assist team members as needed
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs when restocking or unloading supplies
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time and engage in repetitive movements in food prep and cleaning tasks
