Savannah Ghost Pirates Game Presentation Internship 2026-2027 Season

Timeline: September 2026 – April 2027 (or at the completion of Playoffs)

About the role

The Game Presentation Intern will work closely with the Game Presentation and Game Operations teams to enhance the in-game fan experience. This role will assist in bringing professional hockey games to life. From operating and updating video board graphics to running the DJ booth and running a camera, this internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in live sports production and broadcasting.

Ideal Candidate

• Interest/Experience in live sports, game operations, and/or broadcasting
• Excellent attention to detail and creative storytelling abilities
• Familiarity or ability to read a game script
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple assignments
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate as part of a team

Responsibilities

• DJing the game using a provided game script and cues from the game producer
• Operating video board graphics before, during, and after games
• Operating venue lights before, during, and after games
• Operating a camera that streams to FloHockey and the video board
• Shadowing the game producer, technical director and replay operator
• Attending pre-game production meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Media, Broadcasting, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Video Production, or a related field
• Housing and transportation in Savannah or surrounding area
• Availability to work home games and designated office hours

Compensation

This is a non-paid internship. School credit may be earned if applicable.
