Saturday Early Childhood Music Instructor

About the role

Bach To Rock (“B2R”) is seeking a part-time Music Teacher to provide music classes to young children. Early Childhood Teachers create a fun, educational, and safe environment for children to explore the world of music, ideal for high-energy musicians who enjoy playing music games, being creative, and inspiring young children.

Responsibilities

• Lead B2R’s early childhood classes (Rock City and/or Kids n Keys).
• Prepare for and deliver instruction using Bach to Rock’s detailed lesson plans and activities.
• Create a warm and welcoming class environment where young children feel safe.
• Use the B2R curriculum to encourage and educate caregivers attending class with their toddlers.
• May assist at B2R events.

Requirements

• Background in the arts (theater, art, music, etc.).
• Comfortable in an active and high-energy setting.
• Effective time management and organizational skills to engage a group of students.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities.
• Understanding of basic music concepts and ability to communicate them in a developmentally and age-appropriate manner for students ages 3–7.
• Strong classroom management skills to ensure a positive environment.
• Proficiency in playing a musical instrument (piano, keys, or guitar preferred).
• Ability to operate basic sound equipment and computers.
• Must pass a background check.

Pay
