The SAP Workstream Lead for Procurement supports Moog’s ERP Transformation Program. Moog is a company of over 14,000 employees operating globally, known for its culture of trust, innovation, and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Process Governance & Standards
- Define, maintain, and enforce global process modeling standards, templates, and methodologies.
- Ensure all process documentation aligns with governance requirements and enterprise design principles.
- Deploy standardized SAP S/4HANA processes across Aerospace & Defense that scale to small and large operational sites.
- Refine and evolve the global SAP template design by applying lessons learned from each phased deployment.
- Team Leadership
- Assign work to Process Analysts and review deliverables for quality, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop analysts to increase team consistency and process maturity.
- Assist and guide Process Analysts and Subject Matter Experts during all phases of the program: Deploy, Sustain, Enhance, and Upgrade.
- Provide oversight of cross-functional training and testing activities within the workstream.
- Coordination & Alignment
- Act as the central coordination point for consolidating cross-functional process documentation.
- Ensure process designs reflect decisions approved by Global Business Process Owners (GBPOs).
- Meet regularly with business stakeholders to confirm SAP design and implementation align with operational needs, key metrics, baseline data, and pain points.
- Support the development of the post-implementation strategy for continuous improvement and long-term governance.
- Quality Assurance
- Validate that future-state process designs meet project objectives, system requirements, and integration needs.
- Conduct structured reviews to identify process gaps, redundancies, inconsistencies, or design risks.
- Identify current-state baselines and establish future-state performance metrics to ensure business outcomes are achieved.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with GBPOs to ensure global standards and decisions are properly represented in the final process design.
- Parenter with functional leads and Organizational Change Management (OCM) teams to communicate process impacts.
- Serve as an intermediary between SAP technical teams and business stakeholders to align business requirements with IT capabilities.
- Ensure functional requirements are documented clearly and communicated to technical teams.
- Testing & Validation
- Support the creation of test scripts based on approved process flows and functional requirements.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm that system behavior aligns with intended process designs.
- Assist in the development of end-user training materials and rollout plans.
- During site rollout, train end-users and support capability building after go-live.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline.
- Over three (3) years of procurement experience in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry; over five (5) years preferred, with working knowledge of SAP.
- Demonstrated people-management experience, with a minimum of 2 years directly managing, leading, or coordinating teams.
- Proven experience working with ERP systems, including process improvement and data gathering/reporting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate organizational objectives to colleagues, stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners (e.g., Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, HR, and IT).
- Expertise using process modeling tools and methods (e.g., BPMN, Visio, ARIS, Signavio).
- Deep understanding of ERP concepts, global business processes, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Ability to influence, facilitate, and support decision-making among GBPOs, functional leads, and SMEs.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a working leader with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and knowledge of relevant industry frameworks such as ITIL, ISO 22301, ISO 27031, or NIST SP 800-34.
- Must be willing to travel (20%-40%) and live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.
- Prior involvement in SAP S/4HANA implementations, system integration efforts, or enterprise-level design projects.
- Familiarity with cross-functional business processes such as Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, or HR.
- Experience serving as a change leader to champion new systems and business processes.

Pay
