SAP VIM Solution Architect

The role

The SAP VIM Architect leads the design, configuration, and optimization of the Vendor Invoice Management solution within the organization's SAP landscape.

Responsibilities

• Define the overall VIM solution design
• Configure key VIM components
• Ensure seamless integration with SAP AP, MM, and related modules
• Analyze business requirements and map them to VIM capabilities
• Design workflows that streamline invoice processing and reduce manual effort
• Oversee OCR and invoice capture configuration
• Support testing cycles and resolve system issues
• Optimize exception handling processes
• Provide guidance on best practices for VIM deployment and ongoing support
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure process alignment, system stability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting SAP VIM
• Strong understanding of AP invoice processing, procurement processes, and related SAP modules (MM, FI, AP)
• Experience designing VIM workflows, exception handling logic, and approval routing
• Knowledge of OCR and invoice capture solutions integrated with VIM
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis in VIM environments
• Understanding of integration points with SAP S/4HANA or ECC
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with finance, procurement, and technical teams
