SAP Supply Chain Master Data Senior Analyst
The Role
The SAP Supply Chain Master Data Senior Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of business data through the creation, maintenance, and deletion of Material Master Data within the SAP-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role involves executing material processes for data maintenance in SAP, managing data entry, and collaborating with various stakeholders to improve data quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Execute material processes for data maintenance in SAP, including product data cleansing.
- Perform complex data entry in SAP and other systems with a high level of speed and accuracy.
- Gather data from content owners and transfer it into a standard format for the SAP-based ERP system.
- Understand and apply business data standards, policies, and procedures appropriately.
- Identify and implement Material Master Data governance best practices.
- Interact significantly with Master Data Lead, fellow Stewards, and stakeholders across Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service teams.
- Lead audits for compliance and improvement.
- Conduct investigations to address stakeholder complaints.
- Use specialized knowledge to assist customers in resolving problems.
- Originate and improve technical documents and procedures.
- Maintain credibility with stakeholders and colleagues.
- Make decisions to meet team and individual performance objectives, continually improving performance.
- Identify and suggest alternatives to existing job tasks or processes for improvement.
- Study best practices to improve work tasks and processes.
- Perform data cleansing, normalization, and standardization using SAP tools and complementary data-quality utilities.
- Execute data validation checks to identify duplicates, inconsistencies, and missing attributes, ensuring high-quality Material Master data.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration (with an emphasis in Operations, Analytics, or Information Systems), Data Management / Data Analytics / Information Management, or Industrial Engineering is preferred. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in SAP, and excellent communication abilities are essential.
