SAP Solutions Architect
About the role
The SAP Solution Architect at Gordon Food Service leads the definition and implementation of all SAP application and technology strategies, aligning with the company's business goals. This role involves analyzing IT trends, developing strategic roadmaps, and providing guidance for enterprise solutions.
Responsibilities
- Embraces an enterprise level architecture focus and aligns with the overall company business strategy
- Collaborates with other architects, engineers, and IT specialists to define SAP application, information, and technical architectural vision and strategic roadmaps
- Engages with architecture councils, application and technical domain architects, and engineers to ensure adherence to the architectural vision and standards
- Identifies and tracks key performance indicators
- Leads groups of SAP application and technical teams to provide stewardship over the SAP application and technology portfolio
- Partners with other architecture and technology leaders to define complex, cross-domain solutions
- Drives creation, adoption, and reuse of enterprise assets
- Researches current technologies enabling innovation and determines their potential benefits
- Leads technology vendor evaluations within the SAP ecosystem to determine preferred technology and partners
- Mentors and provides hands-on guidance to other IT specialists
- Documents all architecture design and analysis work
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required. Five to eight years of previous business analysis or software development experience strongly preferred. Understanding of enterprise architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practices. Proficiency in at least two of the following SAP architecture domains: business, application, information/data, data integration, technical/infrastructure, security. Outstanding verbal, written, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate architectural issues and concepts. Proven leadership, influence, collaboration, and mentoring skills. Capability to deliver complex SAP architecture designs and solutions and to drive and directly participate on their implementation through key IT initiatives. Adaptability in responding to competing demands and attaining ever-evolving architecture. Broad technical aptitude and knowledge.
