About the role

As part of the Americas team, SANY is seeking a driven, forward-thinking, and highly motivated SAP S/4HANA System Specialist, to lead and support our enterprise-wide ERP transformation initiative as we transition from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA. This highly visible role will serve as the primary ERP subject matter expert and strategic partner for SANY America, working closely with leadership, business stakeholders, China headquarters, and external implementation partners.

With deep investment and backing from SANY Group, the Americas business continues to grow rapidly, and this role is critical to delivering competitive, customer-focused products that support long-term market expansion. The SAP S/4HANA System Specialist will play a critical role in planning, executing, and supporting SANY America's SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This individual will participate throughout the entire project lifecycle, from business requirements gathering and solution design through testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Following implementation, the successful candidate will own ongoing ERP operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and system optimization efforts to ensure the platform effectively supports business growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • ERP Transformation Leadership
    • Support and drive the migration from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA.
    • Participate in ERP roadmap planning and implementation strategy development.
    • Assist in evaluating and selecting SAP implementation partners and consultants.
    • Collaborate on business process design, solution architecture, and system configuration.
    • Cookpide System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
    • Support data migration planning, execution, and validation.
    • Aid in cutover planning and go-live readiness activities.
    • Provide post-implementation hyper care support.
    • Manage project risks, issues, timelines, and action plans.
    • Deliver project status updates to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Business Process Optimization
    • Work with the sales team to develop channel strategy for asphalt pavers identifying dealer gaps, target geographies, and priority customer segments.
    • Support the launch of new paver models in North America, coordinating across product, service, and marketing teams.
    • Facilitate workshops with business leaders and end users.
    • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
    • Identify opportunities to improve and standardize business processes.
    • Evaluate SAP best practices and recommend scalable solutions.
    • Minimize unnecessary customization while maximizing business value.
    • Support key business functions including:
      • Finance and Accounting
      • Sales and Distribution
      • Procurement and Inventory Management
      • Manufacturing Operations
      • Supply Chain Management
      • System Administration & Continuous Improvement
  • Function as the Primary SAP System Owner Following Go-Live
    • Provide ongoing user support and issue resolution.
    • Maintain SAP configurations and change management processes.
    • Manage user access, security roles, and authorization controls.
    • Cookpide Coordination of upgrades, enhancements, patches, and system maintenance.
    • Monitor system performance, integrations, and background jobs.
    • Develop user training materials and support documentation.
    • Maintain SOPs, knowledge bases, and operational documentation.
    • Lead ERP enhancement initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
    • Support internal audits, compliance requirements, and governance activities.

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of SAP implementation and support experience.
    • 5+ years of SAP S/4HANA experience.
    • Experience participating in at least two full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations.
    • Experience serving as a:
      • Core Project Team Member
      • Module Lead
      • Solution Lead
      • Solution Architect
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing ERP environments.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
    • Brownfield migration experience.
    • Global ERP rollouts.
    • Multi-country implementation experience.
    • Global template deployment experience.

    FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE

    Candidates should possess strong expertise in at least two core SAP functional areas. Preferred Functional Combinations:

    • FI/CO (Finance & Controlling) + SD (Sales & Distribution)
    • FI/CO (Finance & Controlling) + MM (Materials Management)

    Additional Experience In The Following Areas Is Highly Desirable:

    • PP (Production Planning)
    • QM (Quality Management)
    • EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)
    • Service Management
    • INDUSTRY BACKGROUND

      • Required Manufacturing industry experience.
      • Preferred Construction Equipment
      • Heavy Machinery
      • Industrial Equipment
      • Automotive Manufacturing
      • Agricultural Equipment

      Experience with organizations such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo Construction Equipment, John Deere, CNH Industrial, Liebherr, Hitachi Construction Machinery, or Terex is highly valued.

      BUSINESS PROCESS KNOWLEDGE

      Experience Supporting End-to-end Business Processes Including:

      • Order-to-Cash (O2C)
      • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
      • Record-to-Report (R2R)
      • Plan-to-Produce
      • Service-to-Cash
      • Warranty Management

      EDUCATION

      • Bachelor's degree required in: Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Related field.
      • Master's degree preferred.

      CERTIFICATIONS

      • Preferred SAP S/4HANA Certification
      • SAP Solution Architect Certification
      • SAP Activate Certification
      • PMP Certification

      LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

      • Fluent English required.
      • Mandarin Chinese language skills strongly preferred.
