SAP S/4HANA Digital Manufacturing Services (DMS) Consultant

About the role

Deep expertise in complex manufacturing processes, engineering-driven production, and SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing capabilities is required. Hands-on experience implementing SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) in Engineer-to-Order (ETO), Make-to-Order (MTO), Make-to-Stock, or complex process and discrete-based manufacturing environments is essential. Experience with RISE with SAP transformation programs and global template deployment projects is expected.

Responsibilities

• Drive solution design and discovery with business stakeholders.
• Define scalable manufacturing and engineering process architecture aligned with SAP Best Practices and RISE with SAP standards.
• Conduct Fit-to-Standard workshops and identify process gaps, enhancements, and optimization opportunities.
• Provide leadership for manufacturing transformation initiatives across engineering, production, quality, and supply chain.
• Configure and implement SAP Digital Manufacturing capabilities including Manufacturing BOMs, Routings and work instructions, Shop floor execution, and Production versions.
• Support migration from legacy manufacturing systems to S/4HANA.
• Define master data governance standards for manufacturing objects.
• Lead implementation projects from blueprinting through testing (Unit, SIT, UAT), cutover, Go-Live, and hyper-care support.
• Advise clients as a trusted advisor on best practices for manufacturing, particularly regarding production sequencing, constraint management, and manufacturing efficiencies.
• Create technical and functional specifications for custom developments (RICEFW) to meet specific business needs.
• Lead workshops and discovery sessions with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional SAP teams.
• Translate business transformation objectives into integrated solution design decisions.
• Coordinate with testing, data migration, and legacy system teams.
• Manage issue triage, impact analysis, prioritization, and closure for defects.
• Communicate risks, dependencies, design decisions, and status clearly to program leadership.
• Prepare and review functional documentation, configuration rationale, and training content.
• Support knowledge transfer and adoption of standardized S/4HANA processes.

Requirements

• Experience with Cloud Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), production automation, and integrating these systems with SAP's core ERP modules.
• Experience of project execution using Agile or Agile-Hybrid methodology.
• Bachelor of Computer Science or related field.

Skills

• Strong understanding of complex manufacturing processes and engineering-driven production.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing and SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM).
• Experience with RISE with SAP transformation programs.
• Experience in global template deployment projects.

Pay

$130,000 to $150,000 per annum.
