About the role

Support and enhance SAP IS‑U FI‑CA solutions across utility customer financial and receivables processes. Act as a functional subject‑matter expert, working closely with business stakeholders, Finance, functional teams, and technical resources to resolve complex production issues, deliver enhancements, and translate business and financial requirements into effective SAP configurations. The position supports SAP production operations while improving the stability, efficiency, and effectiveness of FI‑CA capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as functional SME for SAP IS‑U FI‑CA / Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable.
• Provide hands‑on functional support for production issues, system enhancements, projects, configuration, and testing.
• Support key FI‑CA processes: accounts receivable and payable; payments and payment runs; dunning and collections; refund management; security deposits; write‑offs; interest; installment plans; clearing and clearing control.
• Analyze complex production issues and collaborate with functional and technical teams to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Translate financial, accounting, billing, and business requirements into functional designs and SAP configurations.
• Support high‑volume and mass‑processing activities within SAP FI‑CA.
• Participate throughout the solution lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, configuration, testing, defect resolution, implementation, and production support.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to evaluate and prioritize defects, enhancements, and operational needs.
• Lead and facilitate defect‑prioritization discussions, workshops, and working sessions.
• Clearly communicate complex SAP and financial concepts to both business and technical audiences.
• Work with SAP accounting and General Ledger‑related processes; understand and troubleshoot financial code‑block mapping.
• Support month‑end financial processing and related activities.
• Evaluate the accounting impact of SAP defects, configuration changes, and enhancements.
• Partner effectively with Finance and accounting stakeholders on system‑related issues.

Requirements

• Strong functional experience with SAP FI‑CA.
• In‑depth knowledge of SAP FI‑CA processes and configuration.
• Experience with Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable processes.
• Experience supporting dunning, payments, refunds, and clearing processes.
• Experience supporting SAP production environments, including complex issue and defect analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex financial or billing requirements into structured SAP solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across business, Finance, functional, and technical organizations.
• Experience managing stakeholders and facilitating cross‑functional discussions.
• SAP IS‑U experience and knowledge of integration between FI‑CA and related SAP capabilities.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Accounting degree and/or professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA).
• Experience with SAP General Ledger and accounting integration.
• Experience with SAP financial code‑block mapping.
• Experience supporting month‑end financial processing.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• SAP HANA reporting experience.
• Product management experience.
• Utility industry and SAP IS‑U experience.
• Knowledge of financial controls, audit trails, regulatory or compliance requirements, tax reporting, and data archiving.

Pay

$65.00 – $75.00 per hour (W2 contract).
